Today
is Rahul's 14th Birthday
Apart
from all his nice things, I like the most is his sense of humor, from very
early he had a great sense of humor. Today on his birthday, I will try to
recollect some of his jokes and funny incidents.
Ok
this one you can't treat as his sense of humor, but ya whenever we recall about
it we laugh a lot. He was around 18 months old, hardly able to speak anything, we went for a
birthday party, we were waiting at the parking lot, I was holding him in my hand,
suddenly he started jumping, showing his hand towards the sky, I saw a flight
was going in the sky (very low), actually he was trying to catch it, the thing
is we use to taking him to the park every day evening, there also we use to
show him flight in the sky, but in Sharjah the flight use to be very high, and
use to look very small, now as soon as he saw the flight very low and big, he
started jumping to catch it, I told him boss, flight is not that low.
Rahul
was around two and half years, started speaking full sentence, one day gallon
water bottle arrived, he went and removed the company sticker and stick it on
Rani and started laughing, Rani said "What, I know you stick the sticker
on me" so he replied "Do not go out like this" Rani
"Why" he replies "people will think you are water and will drink
you"
Rahul
started schooling, this is his favorite joke.
New
student joins the class, so one of the old student ask the new student
"what is your nationality"
New
student "I don't know what is nationality is"
Old
student "see my father and mother are Indian, so I am an Indian"
New
student "I still don't know what is my nationality is"
Old
student "why"
New
student "my father is from Iceland and my mother is from Cuba"
Old
student "Simple, you are an Ice cube"
When
he started schooling, we got the first complaint from the school that he is
spitting on everyone in class as well as in the bus, so I did shout at him and
try to explain that spitting is a bad habit, so he became sad, later Rani
enquired him, why he is doing that, he explains that, in cartoon, characters
spit you laugh, and when I spit, you shout at me. His exact words were
"Tom & Jerry tuppi, amma sirichi, Rahul tuppi, amma thitti. We did
some rationing in his cartoon watching.
While
in his growing years, it was very difficult to feed him anything new, all he
was interested in was potatoes and cheese. One day someone came from India,
brought some prasads (panchamirtham) from temple. Rani tried to feed him and
Raghav, Rahul's first reaction was 'NO'. Rani gave 15 min. lecture on not to
say no to prasad, finally he eat the prasad, and went to kitchen to wash his
hands, while coming out, he says to Rani "There are two prasad in the
world no one can eat" Rani was quite amused "what kind of prasads are
those" his answer was "Rahul Prasad & Raghav Prasad" these
are there full name.
While
in his growing years, his best friend was Anish, though Anish was 6-7 years
elder to him, but use to get along with him very well. Anish was very
mischievous and naughty, one of those occasion, Anish did some mischief,
Anish's mother Asha shouted at him, Rahul was watching this, Rahul did not
liked Asha shouting at Anish, he took a shoe next to him and throw at her, it
hit her, I was watching all these, I immediately shouted at him
"RAHUL" he without taking a breath replied me "I throw at her,
she did not catch it" (Na throw panni, aunty catch panni no)
One
day I was returning from the office, Rahul was playing on the bed, I was in a
very joyful mood, so I hugged him, squeezed him, 10-15 times kissed, once I
left him, with a grumpy face he looks at me and ask me, so tell me what did you
got from that, I said, happiness, he replies me "Take this pencil draw me
your happiness, or show me like this
pencil, how it looks like"
I
had purchased iPhone, it was new, I use to ration his usage, one day when I was
sleeping, he took my iPhone and tried to use it, but it had passcode, which he
did not knew it, he tried several combinations but did not open, after 10
trial, phone got locked for 45 min. he quietly kept the phone under my pillow
and went, after 10 min. I woke up and tried my phone, but it was locked, I
understood that it was his mischief so i summoned him and asked him why did he tried the passcode,
now my phone got locked for 45 min. his
answer was "You should have told me the passcode, it was your
mistake" that was the last day I had password in any of my device.
